Thorpe Coombe Health and Wellbeing Centre
Northmores are providing a range of services to NELFT for this mixed use project in East London. We are responsible for the project management and full design/cost team management and coordination in delivering a £10m community and office building and new highways infrastructure as part of the Trust's wider £30m masterplan.
The new Health and Wellbeing Centre completes in the Summer of 2019 and will provide modern healthcare facilities for community services in Walthamstow. The project is being delivered by NELFT in partnership with Waltham Forest Council to improve health services in Waltham Forest.
The overall development includes proposals for the sale of redundant areas of the site to create cross-subsidy for redevelopment of a Community Health Complex on the retained part of the site. The approved masterplan delivers 91 market rate residential units mostly through new build alongside the conversion of the Grade II listed Thorpe Coombe House – a building owned by Heritage London and leased to the client. A collaboration agreement has been prepared so the whole site can be developed in an integrated way to protect the setting and future use of TCH and provide an optimum scheme for the remainder of the site.
