Cambridge Biomedical Campus Masterplan
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The strategic masterplan, project managed by Northmores, to develop and extend the Addenbrooke’s Hospital site, placing it at the heart of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
Covering more than 70 hectares, the masterplan brings an urbanism to the campus rarely seen in healthcare development. The strategy provides space for extensive new clinical facilities including a new children’s hospital, expanded services for maternity, neurosciences and oncology, a new emergency department and the relocated Royal Papworth Hospital. The plans also contain major research facilities such as the new Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology and AstraZeneca’s global R&D head quarters.
