Relocation of Papworth Hospital onto a new site adjacent to the Addenbrooke’s Hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Northmores provided lead technical advisor services throughout the procurement process (inc. Commercial/Legal, Technical, FM, Fire, IM&T and Energy).
Other services on the project include:
• Intensive Design Management and coordination of the client’s project team, Skanska’s design team (HOK led) and input from legal advisors in achieving executive sign-off of the design ahead of financial close for the main facility.
• Project Management of the haul road to the main facility including liaison on behalf of the Employer with the adjacent landowners and Skanska as Main Contractor.
• Project Management and Lead Consultancy for the construction of two subterranean communication links between the New Papworth Hospital and the existing and adjacent Cambridge University Hospitals estate. Role included successful liaison with numerous legal teams, commercial stakeholders (and their due diligence advisors) and landowners in agreeing the license to build on 3rd party land and the AfL for the development.
