Arthur Rank Hospice Charity appointed Northmores to undertake a charity/ funding, operational and clinical review of its existing hospice in terms of best practice.
The review incorporated the evaluation of the current facilities in terms of functionality, space utilisation and conditional assessment and determined the backlog maintenance liability.
We provided project management services, coordinating a strong team consisting of planning consultants, designers, medical planners and cost advisors. We worked closely with the charity, Cambridgeshire Community Services and other stakeholders during the project to provide a £10m spacious, modern and calming facility for end-of-life patients in Cambridge and the surrounding area. The project was built by Barnes Construction and was successfully handed over ahead of programme and on-budget.
