Northmores was appointed as Project Manager, Contract Administrator, and Principal Designer to refurbish and update a much-loved memorial garden to create inspiring and engaging play opportunities for a range of age groups and abilities.
Newmarket Town Council wanted an imaginative, fun and safe place, including a water element, with free open access for all. Acknowledging and enhancing the local character and heritage of Newmarket and the surrounding area was important to the client and to local people, and this is reflected in the design of the play equipment (castles and royalty).
Northmores’ expertise helped to hone a robust project programme and budget. We also identified opportunities and key areas of risk. We were proud to deliver the project to a tight programme and within the allocated budget.
