Northmores provided lead, engineering, capital cost/ lifecycle and full FM services advice to provide the hospital with optimised departments, a better environment and modern facilities.
The new ‘super hospital’ has an emergency care centre, a larger provision of single rooms on wards, 120-bed mental health unit, full range of therapy services and spacious public areas.
The hospital includes a new build acute development and mental health unit on the existing Edith Cavell site, along with the creation of an integrated care centre on the existing City Centre District General Hospital site.
